GLAM RELEASE "TROT" KPOP ANTHEM "IN FRONT OF THE MIRROR"

 

GLAM have always done it for me. Their debut single "I Like That" is still on my main playlist and "In Front of The Mirror" is about to go accompany it because it is seriously fierce. Whereas "I Like That" was fun and hyper, "In Front..." is sexy and flirty. 

"In Front..." is just what GLAM needed to set themselves apart from the rest of the rookie groups of 2013. Releasing such a riske song so early in their career is not easy and it's going to be interesting to see how the Netizens react to this. Usually with Netizens you either start off artistic or mainstream and you have to wait a while to make the switch because ain't nobody got time for change. 

I am hoping this pays off for GLAM. Their live performances are one of the best of 2013 and maybe it's because I love the rapper, she's so cute!! She's so fucking tiny and so fucking fearless. She raps like she's 7 feet tall. 

"In Front..." has some taunting lyrics that a lot of their female fans will relate to (and their gay fans too).

Just give me a razor naaaao!

The music video for this amazing single is just as great. It showcases so many insecurities that both men and women suffer. They play off weight, boobs, etc. It's a little cliche when you think of it but it plays out nicely and well thought out in the video. 

Of course, it's not a KPop video if it doesn't have some sort of message in it and towards the end the girls release they are all skinny as fuck and super hot and start dancing around like they are extras on that Taylor Swift music video.

I want this song to sweep the charts and show that Lee Hi girl how it's really done.

La Taylor Swift released the much anticipated and much delayed music video for "22" today and just as Selena Gomez, her video is everything. It's fun, it's sexy and it's true T-Swizzle. 

The first 2 seconds of "22" itself is everything. It's Taylor Swift throwing some swagger at the camera, looking at her fly ass nails and being all "I give no fucks" but with a country accent because she's country... (hahahahaha good one, Darwin!)

So after the swag attack from T-Swizzle happens, she starts being all cute and all "OMG I'm 22, I'm like not 21 anymore, because I'm 22 and 22 is a fun year, y'all!" Not only is she cute, but those heart-shaped sunglasses, I WANT THEM NOW.

The music video sees Taylor getting ready to go out and "party" even though there's no alcohol in sight because she's T-Swiz-No-Alcohol-Allowed-KFankz. I know what you're thinking and no, that red thing in that cup pyramid is not "punch", if anything is Kool-Aid. 

And when she's at the pool, swinging her overly-used vajayjay like it's not still cold in some states, she is giving me everything. When the chorus kicks in and she starts to act a little "rough" and "faux-ghetto", it's so cute when cute white girls pretend to be ghetto. And then she goes to the beach and blah blah, what I'm really here for is the scenes with her and those bunny ear-piece thingy. It's super cute. I would wear it, with the red heart-shaped sunglasses to be quite motherfucking honest.

"22" is destined to be yet another mega-hit because this was made for the Pop folk, just like her entire last album. So expect "22" to be all over the radio in 3.....2.....1.....

Selena Gomez is on the road to be the next Britney Spears. After Miley Cyrus went to shits and Demi Lovato ate some shit, it's up to Selena Gomez to make the miracle happen again and give Disney their second Princess of Pop. 

Fun fact, the song isn't officially titled "Rule the World", but, "Forget Forever" - There, I just ruined your dreams. And on top of that, since this was recorded so long ago, no honey, this isn't about Justin Biebaaaaa so I ain't even gon break down the lyrics like a delusional stan.

"Forget Forever" sees Selener dive directly to Top 40. If "Naturally" wasn't Top 40 enough and "Love You Like A Love Song" wasn't Top 40 enough, this definitelly screams it. 

The production for "Forget Forever" is quite slick in my opinion. It's a little generic but seeing as how this song was recorded over six months ago, it makes sense. The production reminds me of "We Found Love" by RiYawnNaaaah and I mean that as a compliment. Just like "WFL", "FF" is as fierce and fabulous. 

"Forget Forever" also has just as little lines as it has repetitive ones. 

"Our love was made to rule the world,

Our love was made to rule the wooOoooOoooorld..."

I obviously am obsessed with this damn song. It's got everything you need for success. Stuttering, repetitive chorus and house / techno / electro beats. The only thing I would say is to obviously remaster it and add some fresh new synths here and there and you got yourself a hit Selener.

If I were to give this song a rating, it would be 

11/10.

CCM has finally gotten right in Japan. They are promoting throughout the country and releasing a whipping 10 versions of their new single "Bunny Style" In an attempt to get the girls their own spotlight, they have decided to make sub-units for the different versions. I of course adora Qriram (for short) and the preview for their single is flawless!

 "Soap Bubbles" is probably the cutest song I've heard in my life. It's so cute and sugary that it gave me diabetes but I don't care! My Queen Qri and Boram sing some serious cuteness in this song. I of course do not speak Japanese so I can't tell you what they're singing but let me just give you what I think.

I think "Soap Bubbles" is a cute song about taking a bath and knowing the Japanese market, it also probably has some masturbation innuendos. Because what's better than masturbation and a cute vocal arrangement? Nothing. Also, let's talk about those vocals, can you say impeccable?

Qri sounds flawless in this preview. I am so glad they are finally giving her some spotlight and I hope her solo single and this single do well! Qri is loved in Japan so I'm not even worried.

Ke$ha's latest leak is her infectious party anthem "Woo Hoo". Originally meant to be in "Warrior" but later scrapped due to a snippet leaking online. It was then given to Big Time Rush with re-written lyrics. Needless to say God$ha's demo is 10000 times better.

"Woo Hoo" samples "Song #2" by Blur, a very popular song form 1997. It is heavily sampled in "Woo Hoo" but K$ is smart enough to add new instruments and her sassy talk-sing vocals slay that instrumental like it's her bitch.

I currently have this on repeat. I didn't really like "Warrior" as much as I thought I did. This really really makes me want a new K$ EP. Hopefully she stops giving her best songs away. Jessie Ware is the next big thing in the UK. I was fortunate enough to go see her live at the 930 Club in Washington DC and she is a phenomenal performer. Jessie opted to cover Rihanna's mega hit "Diamonds" for BBC's Radio 1 and it was amazing.

Jessie Ware's version is much smoother and more organic. The vocals are obviously better. Not shading Rihanna, she's gotten much better but the way Jessie sings it, it's just amazing. There's so much depth and soul in this rendition.

The finale is the best part. It's so touching and... totes gave me chills.

I'll need y'all to listen to her music, especially "Sweet Talk" and buy her EP on iTunes now!

It comes as no surprise that Taemin is one of my faves from SHINee, him and Key can get it. SHINee is finally having a comeback after their "Sherlock" promotions have been long gone. They have decided to be experimental and try out this new "acid, electro, funk" sound and let me tell you, it paid off.

Let me dedicate this paragraph to SM Entertainment, though. SM, I'm gonna need you to stop using SHINee as your guinea pigs. We all know by now that "Sherlock" was a test to see if SNSD's "I Got A Boy" would do well or not. Or the fact that EXO (K &M) have copied SHINee and they still flop. SM, stop it, give SHINee their own style and stop handing it out to your other flops when you see SHINee makes it successful.

Anyway, "Dream Girl", I was kind of afraid they were going to rehash "Dazzling Girl" and just change the name but thankfully, they are two completely different tracks. "Dream Girl" is in fact a little funky, a little electro and some sort of acid. It's a refreshing sound for a boy band with enough cute to make them "flower boys"

The music videos, both original and dance version, are out now and they are everything.

In this version, the boys play Illuminati puppets, making emotionless faces and wearing a lot of black and white patterned clothes. Illuminati aside, this video is everything. It's sassy, classy, nice and fierce all in one. I love the scenes with the spiral stairs that looks like they're falling and getting back  up. 

Also, my Queen, Taemin gets so much camera time. Definitely a treat for us Tea-fans. It's always a good song when Taemin starts it off. <3 p="">

RIHANNA RELEASES BORING ASS VIDEO FOR "STAY" / SONGS GOES TO #1 ON ITUNES. I DON'T GET IT EITHER!

 

That Rihanna reign just won't let up.

Rihanna performed her amazing new single "Stay" or as her fans are subbing it "Slay", at the Grammys this Sunday and then premiered the music video for it on E!. If you get Britney Spears flashbacks during the video, don't worry, the world is with you.

"Stay", the music video, is literally the most boring music video in the history of music videos. Rihanna promised a "simple" video but this was just not even trying to try. This video looks like it literally took one-five minute take. She doesn't move, she doesn't sing along to the track, she barely even blinks. 

"Everytime" at least has a plot and some titties, this damn video doesn't even show most of her tattoos and you know this bitch loves to show off her *pretentious* body artwork.

It comes as no surprise though, the world is buying this song on iTunes like it's curing cancer. It went straight to #1 after Sunday's performance. Expect the song to stay #1 for a while so tell your favez not to release anything any time soon because they will flop harder than a fish out of the zoo's tank.

B.A.P RELEASES EPIC MUSIC VIDEO FOR EPIC COMEBACK SINGLE "ONE SHOT"

 

B.A.P are an amazing "rookie" boy group from South Korea. They debuted last year with a promising look and sound. After going off their style for their last singles, it seems they remembered why we liked them in the first place. They have recently released a T-Ara-esque music video for their amazing new comeback single "One Shot"

"One Shot", the music video, is very similar in theme as T-Ara's last four blockbuster videos. It's packed with a violent storyline, violent punches and some violent scenes, so it's pretty violent. The music video centers around one of them (whatever his name is), well he gets kidnapped and the rest of the members have to come up with $10,000 for the ransom. 

I won't spoil the end...mainly because it has two finales, one, might surprise you a bit. 

Another reason to watch the video is that it features three of their songs from the EP, so you get a good preview before you go and PURCHASE IT ON ITUNES!

As far as the song, it's their best single yet. It's not far from "Warrior" but it's so much better in every sense. Lyrically, amazing, sonically, amazing, catchy, amazingly amazing. I think they are one of the few groups that gives all of them the same amount of lines, no matter whether they are the maknae or the leader, and I appreciate that. #nobiasaloud *inside joke*

"One Shot (EP)" rose to the #1 spot on a couple of iTunes Hip Hop charts such as the USA and Canada, proving that the US can like something besides "Gangnam Style"
